umer amin the future of pakistan cricket

Since 2007, the left-handed Umar Amin has been among the most-talked about batting prospects for a future middle order without Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf, even if he prefers opening himself. Function and efficiency win out over grace and style, but there is little doubting his methods have been effective and can be doubly so in future.

A left-hand top-order bat, Umar Amin scored a hundred in the first Youth Test against England Under-19s during Pakistan Under-19's tour in 2007, and later made a memorable first-class debut, scoring 89 and 56 for Rawalpindi against Pakistan International Airlines. But Scored only seven runs in international debut in 1st One-day of Asia Cup against Sri Lanka at Dambulla on June 15, 2010

Umar amin so far has been a failure with the bat and his last fifty was 3 innings ago against Zimbabwe.
but to favor him i have got an example of Ahmed Shehzad , who had a lackluster series against West indies earlier. All demanded his immediate exclusion knowing that he was a people choice " Opener"  and the chosen one from the public & his exclusion was demanded just after 3 games , though he failed to prosper in that series.
Thankfully retained for the Zimbabwe tour but again  only 1 fifty in two ODI's that too on a lower strike rate Signs were ominous that he will be dropped , but retained. and now he has got 2 fifties in two games. Now Just like you have given three consecutive series to Ahmed Shehzad,  my point is give the same amount of time to Amin. he was in & out of side during Caribbean tour and played 2 ODI'S in  Zimbabwe. Now he should get this whole series and then look for options if does not deliver in these 5 Odi's.Players are made out of nothing, just look at Rohit sharma , look at Ravindra jadeja,  for a number of years Dhoni stick with them and now getting the rewards. i am not saying stick with Amin but give him full series. Same goes for Nasir Jamshed also give him full series before deciding his fate.Persist with them and  they will come good.
