Have you seen a television series called Vikings? Vikings is a dramatic show based on the history of the Vikings and about one Viking's life that was spent travelling and exploring the seas for treasure and other lands.

Vikings is a Canadian-Irish historical drama series written and created by Michael Hirst. It was aired on television in the United States and Canada on 3rd March 2013 and was made for the History channel. 

Vikings is an adventurous and dramatic television series based on the tales of Ragnar Lothbrok, who was the greatest hero of his time in the 12th century. Vikings was filmed in Ireland and was inspired by the tales of a Viking, such as, Ragnar Lothbrok. He was a hero who was known for his notorious travels of France and England.

The story of Vikings begins by showing Ragnar, (played by Travis Fimmel), who is a young Viking warrior that has ideas of exploring places whilst at sea. His band of Viking brothers and his family back him up with his theory on how to better explore the seas with his new navigating system to find places during his voyages at sea. He has a wife, son and daughter where they live on a farm who love and respect him. Ragnar's idea is to have a boat built and sail West to try and discover other civilizations. He tells his brother that instead of travelling East, they should travel West, as he has a feeling that he will find much more land and treasure if they go this way, so he convinces his brother and other Vikings to follow him by demonstrating to them that he may be able to navigate his boat to go West with some equipment that he has now got in his possession. Of course, he finds land and gold, and returns home with a monk whom he has kept alive for a reason. The story goes on to show more great adventures with lots of thrilling moments.

I have watched 3 episodes of Vikings so far and I think the story is very entertaining and historical. It's an interesting show that I recommend for anyone who loves to watch a historical adventure unfold based on stories of Ragnar Lothbrok.
