Which is best Democracy or Dictatorship..?

After the First World War dictators captured power nearly everywhere. They were given a warm welcome by the people because they accelerated the rebuilding of the shattered economy of the countries . The Parliamentary system of government seemed to be collapsing in almost every country. Democracy is on its trial.

Much may be said in favour of dictatorship. Its popularity is significant. It was felt in many countries that the disorder and confusion which followed the First World War could not be checked by the processes of parliamentarianism. A centralized government with personal responsibility at its core that is a kind of dictatorship appeared to be the best way out of the difficulty .

Thus Kemal Pasha assumed absolute power in Turkey,

Riza Shah did the same thing is Persia,

Italy voted for Mussolini,

and his cruelty

Poland for Pilsudski,

Russia for Lenin, and after him, for Stalin, and Germany for Hitler.

Hitler cruelty .

Even the President of the United States now enjoys dictatorial powers in many matters. The latest in the field was General Franco of Spain.

Parliamentary rule , even in countries like Britain, France , Pakistan and the United States, means government by Ganges of politicians who are often guided by private interests. The democratic countries of France, Norway, Belgium and Holland could not resist the centralized government in which no private interests are tolerated, and the national cause in put before everything, Mussolini, Hittler, Kemal , Stalin and other dictators have shown ho disorder can be checked and the state of the country improved.
