The babies are gifts from God and not all are blessed with babies. Yet people sometimes discriminate babies on the basis of their gender. In India and many other Asian countries the mothers are looked down upon or even thrown out of the house when they give birth to a girl baby. So unfortunate is the girl child! Sometimes the baby girl is also killed as foetus or after birth. I wonder how cruel those men and women are who are insensitive to a baby's smile and feel boy child brings good luck while girl children are burdens. In today's world girls and boys work, earn and live with equal status but still in many parts of the world girl child is supposed to bring in bad omen.They are hated and get no respect in society.
