Best answer: If it's just a day and your dog will use the litter box and there is no way a fight could happen I think it's fine but they always can get hurt keep that in mind be sure to safety check everything no food they could find and choke or get sick food water maybe quiet tv you normally watch and light is more comforting to them than dark at night alone. No scary weather like thunder. Why not just for a day.
