Domhnall Gleeson Talks About “Anna Karenina”

Uploaded on Tuesday 13 November 2012

DESCRIPTION

I’ve always been a fan of Domhnall Gleeson since I saw him as Bill Weasley in the “Harry Potter” films. Besides appearing in the films about our favorite boy wizard, Domhnall has also starred in films like “True Grit” and “Dredd 3D.” In “Anna Karenina,” opening in select theaters on Friday, Nov. 16th, Gleeson stars as Levin, a memorable character which Domhnall dives into. By the way, it’s been widely reported that the character of Levin was author Leo Tolstoy’s homage to himself.

In this interview, we talked about:

• Mr. Bill Weasley is all grown up
• How did he get interested in playing Levin?
• My favorite scene in the movie with him
• How did he prepare for the role?
• Working with the movable set
• All the dancing in the film
• The many faces of love
• The film’s resonating line – will you die for love – will Domhnall Gleeson die for love?
• What’s next for Domhnall Gleeson?
• I said goodbye to him saying “bye ginger” because he referenced that work in the beginning of our interview
