DESCRIPTION

Miniloc Island in El Nido, Northern Palawan, is the perfect holiday destination for the young and young at heart in search of a fun and vibrant holiday. The resort is tucked in a beautiful cove with a backdrop of sheer limestone cliffs. Reminiscent of a coastal village, Miniloc Island’s quaint charm is enhanced by its crystal clear waters teeming with vibrant marine life. At its very doorstep, the long dock where guests are welcomed, guests can snorkel alongside 1.5meter jacks and hundreds of sergeant majors, damsel fish, fusiliers, and other multi-colored tropical fish.

Miniloc Island offers 50 accommodations with a rustic and native design. It offers al fresco dining at the Clubhouse restaurant and has a beach bar. Recreational facilities include a massage cabana and a marine sports center. There is a boutique, game area, a Kids Activity Center, and a conference room that can accommodate up to 40 persons theatre-style. Complimentary wi-fi connection is available at the Clubhouse. Miniloc Island is a gateway to popular activity sites. With its convenient location, it is a welcoming and charming hideaway, allowing for numerous recreational activities and friendly interaction between guests and staff.

Miniloc Island has a total of 50 rooms that are thatched-roofed and furnished with indigenous Filipino materials. Floors are wooden and walls are covered in woven bamboo slats, locally known as sawali. All rooms have a private verandah which offers excellent views of the sea and surrounding islands.

There are seven Water Cottages built on stilts right beside Miniloc’s dramatic limestone cliffs. Each Water Cottage has a 25sqm floor area and can accommodate a maximum of two persons.

Five Seaview Rooms are also on stilts over the water. Each two-level Seaview Room has a total floor area of 43sqm and fits four.

Thirteen Garden Cottages are surrounded by tropical plants and just a stone’s throw from the beach. Each Garden Cottage has a floor area of 27sqm and can accommodate up to three persons.

Three Cliff Cottages are built on the cliffside offering a panoramic view of the resort and Bacuit Bay. Each Cliff Cottage has a floor area of 43sqm to accommodate up to four persons. A narrow flight of stairs have to be navigated to reach the Cliff Cottages, hence are not suitable for families with young children.

There are 12 Beachside Rooms situated right in front of Miniloc’s white sand beach. Each Beachside Room, built in two-level clusters of four, has a 30sqm floor area to house three persons.

Ten Deluxe Seaview Rooms have been designed to showcase Miniloc Island as an eco-friendly resort. All 10 rooms are wholly powered by solar energy and installed with an efficient lighting system and ceiling fans. Each of the 44sqm Deluxe Seaview Rooms can accommodate two persons and offers a spectacular view of Bacuit Bay.

Miniloc Island offers unique and enriching experiences amidst the beautiful natural landscape. A wide range of activities, from soft adventure sports to more leisurely pursuits, are arranged according to guest preferences with the help of our guest activity coordinators

Relax at Miniloc Island
Watch a movie, read a book, engage in board games or Wii at the library. Sample our local handicrafts at the boutique, take a dip and relax beach side. Enjoy a game of billiards or have a cocktail at the beachside bar.

SPA
Miniloc Island offers a variety of Asian, European, and tropical face and body treatments, including the traditional Filipino hilot massage.

SCUBA Diving and Marine Sports
El Nido has more than 20 diving sites, all easily accessible from Miniloc Island. Miniloc Island is a PADI Resort Center with a complete line of diving equipment and offers a variety of dive courses. Snorkeling gear and kayaks are also available at the resort’s marine sports center.

Discover Nature
Snorkel at the house reef and swim with the resident silver jacks of Miniloc Island . Kayak around Miniloc Island and discover pockets of white sand beach amidst the limestone cliffs and the enchanting Big and Small Lagoons. Take a sunset cruise around Bacuit Bay. Go stargazing. Stellar wonders like the North Star, the Southern Cross, and other heavenly formations in the Milky Way, which may not be seen in the night skies of other countries, can be clearly viewed from El Nido. Guided Eco Tours
The 45 islands and islets of El Nido and the surrounding sea present endless opportunities for adventure and nature appreciation. Just minutes away are several natural attractions, including Cathedral Cave, Cudugnon Cave, Snake Island, and the Big and Small Lagoons. Guests can join any of our guided eco-tours to explore these fascinating sites. An eco-checklist is provided to all guests to monitor and record any wildlife seen.

Beach Clubs
Guests of El Nido Resorts have exclusive access to our beach clubs at Entalula Island and Dibuluan Island. At our private beach clubs, guests can enjoy hobiecat sailing, windsurfing, snorkelling, or simply relaxing on the beach.

Kids Club
Miniloc Island has a Kids Activity Center where they can play and learn arts and crafts. Kids (and adults) will enjoy coconut-hat making. Play areas are provided at the beach clubs. Baby-sitting service is also available.

Special Events
Miniloc Island also caters to weddings, meetings, team-building and other corporate events.

Miniloc Island serves only sustainable menus. During meals, guests will enjoy salad greens organically grown from our gardens. International cuisine and local dishes are offered at the Clubhouse Restaurant. Guests may also dine at nearby Lagen Island Resort, enjoy island lunch at Dibuluan Beach Club, or have a picnic at Entalula Beach Club, all of which are operated by El Nido Resorts. We also take pride in organizing unique dinners for our guests both within Miniloc Island and around Bacuit Bay.

Private Dining Options
Romantic dinners can be arrange in a wide array of private venues. Dine at Miniloc Island’s Payong-Payong beach, on a raft in the Big Lagoon, or in one of the many beautiful islands.

How To Get There
Island Transvoyager Inc. (ITI) offers daily flights from Manila to El Nido, Palawan. Travel time is approximately 55-minutes using a 50-seater ATR aircraft. From Lio airport in El Nido, a 45-minute boat ride follows to take guests to Miniloc Island.

Flight reservations on ITI may be made through El Nido Resorts. Regular flights depart Manila at 7:00AM, 11:00AM, and 3:00PM daily. Return flights depart El Nido, Palawan at 9:00AM, 1:00PM, and 5:00PM daily.

El Nido is also accessible by land from Puerto Princesa City and from Taytay Town, Palawan. It takes approximately 6-hours to travel by land from Puerto Princesa City to El Nido, while it takes 1 ½ hours by land to travel from Taytay town to El Nido.
