DESCRIPTION

Gohar Shad Begum high school was built in 1961 and named after Gohar Shad Begum, the most famous Afghan women. She built this school in the West part of Herat known as Florence of Asia. Gohar Shad Begum high school has 9,000 students and 254 teachers. It has 4 buildings and another one under construction.

This is the 10th school with an Internet classroom built by Film Annex and Afghan Citadel Company, in September 2013.

At the opening were present the Governor of Herat province, the head of provincial council and minister of education and the students.
