Here is my cover of Starting Over Again from a guy's point of view. This was originally sang by American singer-songwriter Natalie Cole then two years ago, it was revived by a Filipino singer whose name is Lani Misalucha who was termed as Asia's Nightingale. This will be my first time to do a cover of a female song so I needed to sing this from a guy's point of view. It was just a fortune that I found a lower pitched version of her version, in a form of karaoke. I chose Ms. Lani Misalucha's version because I think the music arrangement is good and it suits my vocal skills.
I think this song is about someone who finds it hard to move on from the one he loved the most even if that person is now happy with someone else. This song is about wondering what could have happened if chances were taken. It is full of, "What if we tried to hold on for a little bit longer?". Painful it may seem but some things don't end up the way they have to be.
