DESCRIPTION

Xcorps Motorsports Sweet Rides TV goes to Schneider Cams - part 2 - The Bandit X Pontiac Trans AM needs a cam for the 455 engine that is going into the Bandit X car and there is no other place better to get a cam from than Schneider Racing Cams. Schneider has been around since 1958 and they have a great and helpful staff to answer all your questions about cams.
Xcorps TV Sweet Rides is at Schneider Cams in San Diego talking with Jerry Cantrell about
cams and the early days when there were only a few choices of cams for your car. We also touch on the history of Schneider and how Shneider and Crower got started.
Xcorps TV host Scott Sommers talked with Jerry Cantrell and his son Kevin about what kind of cam we should put in the car but first they needed to know just a little bit of info about the car and engine to make sure that we get the right cam for our car.
Xcorps TV found a great restorations shop in Santee California to base the Bandit X restoration project. So Cal Paint Works has stepped up to take on the project and we couldn’t be more thrilled. The X production crew went down for customer appreciation day at So Cal Paint and saw some of the cars that they had done and we were hooked. They stripped the cars completely down to bare metal and started from scratch. If your looking for a shop to restore your car or do the paint work we highly recommend So Cal Paint Works.
Gregg Scott, engine builder, will be doing the 455 for the Phoenix Project.
He has a long history in drag racing and builds engines for some of the top racers at Barona Drag Strip. He builds high horsepower engines that are street driver friendly.
Our friend Dave over at Pro Touring F-body is supplying us with the suspension parts that we need for our Phoenix project aka Bandit X. We are up grading to solid sub frame bushings, tubular upper and lower control arms, sub frame connectors, new coil springs, rear leaf springs along with his adjustable shocks. All this is going to make the car handle way better than it ever did. Well be out tearing up the auto cross like it was a Sunday drive in the country.
We would like to thank Pilo Chevy Parts for supplying us with all the weather stripping and rubber bumpers for our car.
Paul carries a full line of restoration parts for your classic GM vehicle. He can get everything from interior stuff to decals.
