Zoe Fox of Mashable on Digital Literacy and Sustainable Technology in Afghanistan

Uploaded on Wednesday 30 October 2013

DESCRIPTION

Zoe Fox is the content coordinator for Mashable, where she says that inspiring people is part of their mission as well as giving them the tools to be empowered through technology. In her career, she focused on Internet journalism and spent time working for a project in India. She believes that one of the most amazing things about innovation is that it happens when it is needed. Students in Afghanistan see the opportunity of technology and how it can change their life and lift themselves and their families up. She adds that we can't hear the voices of students in Afghanistan until they access social media tools like blogs or Facebook. She believes that Women's Annex initiatives lift the entire family up by helping women share their stories and experience and making their situation better and safer.
