Fast Food or Junk Food

"Fast food is a mass-produced food that is prepared and served very quickly. The food is typically less nutritionally valuable compared to other foods and dishes. While any meal with low preparation time can be considered fast food, typically the term refers to food sold in a restaurant or store with frozen, preheated or precooked ingredients, and served to the customer in a packaged form for take-out/take-away."

As I already said, fast food is full of sugars. A diet rich in sugary sweets increases your chances of developing cavities. Tooth decay occurs when enamel, the protective coating on your teeth, starts to break down. It badly damages enamel and makes your teeth weak. Fast foods like soda, candy, and cakes coat your tongue, teeth and gums with sugar. Sugary snacks are tastier but are full of unhealthy sugar levels. Brushing tooth after every meal can prevent tooth decay. Increase in sugar levels can also lead to many problems. Children are used too for eating chocolates and candies, which proves to be harmful to their teeth and gums.

People who eat fast food four or more times a week are at a risk of having a heart attack. Fast food is full of saturated fats that increase the risk of heart diseases. These fats clog the blood vessels and narrow the pathway of blood. Hence, it leads to high cholesterol level.

Fast food is the fastest way to feed our hunger. It is not healthy at all. One can easily differentiate between healthy and unhealthy food. Fast food is full of saturated and unsaturated fats. Moreover, it’s a major source of calories and most of these calories are from fat.

Unsaturated fat is not much bad because one can easily burn it through exercise. While saturated fat is not good as it’s stuck in our body and cannot be burned.

French fries, fried chicken and other deep-fried items are full of saturated fats. Every fast food item is full of sodium that is not good for our body. It reduces the natural appetite of a person. Fast food may fill your hunger but are not good for providing nutrients. Different food items are enriched with minerals and vitamins but fast food items after getting deep fried lose all the nutrients.

6-Fast food cause gastrointestinal problems

"The gastrointestinal tract is an organ system within humans and other animals which takes in food, digests it to extract and absorb energy and nutrients, and expels the remaining waste as feces."

Source: wikipedia

Eating too much junk food can cause gastrointestinal problems. Processed junk food provides very little dietary fibre. The human body needs fibre to keep bowels moving. If enough amount of fibre is not added to diet it can cause constipation. This situation can irritate you intensively. Replacing fast food, in that case, is beneficial for prevention.
