You're not one of those people who step on snails, are you? Well, we hope not, because we want you to get ready for the coolest snail party ever! And no, it's not a dinner party. It's a circus party! This week, you're invited to hang out with some of the most acrobatic and talented snails in the world. You'll also meet a young French boy at the party, who is partially responsible for the festivities. Bave Circus is a super imaginative animation by Nicolas Dufresne. If this is not a feast for your eyes, we don't know what is. So... enjoy! Talented, spontaneous, spunky, creative, hardworking... All of these words describe our featured filmmaker this week to a tee! You can always count on Vancouver Film School to deliver great shorts, from animations to full feature length films. Based out of Vancouver, Canada, VFS was founded on the philosophy that students can become expert filmmakers over the course of a year with an intensive training. Whether you want to take a quick break and enjoy a fun short film or get involved in a variety of production programs, Vancouver Film School is the source to go to. While you discover your personal favorites, take a look at ours: the heart warming animation Behind about the value of friendship and Barcode, modern version of Gladiator. Alex Nakone, the filmmaker behind our featured Web TV this week, finds inspiration in music while he goes about his filmmaking. Nakone builds the story and the characters around melodies and sees his films as paintings brought to life with the help of visual effects. Recently, Nakone has been working on a short film called Ouroboros and keeps his fans posted about its development through his blog. Connect with this great filmmaker by watching his early work in collaboration with musical composer John C Williams. Biotech 8 is a medical sci-fi comedy which has been screened in several film festivals. Mr. Morag's Helical Dreams, another audience favorite on our platform, also deals with scary medical visions and will make you think twice before getting yourself a clone!
