Fernando Acquarone was born in Rio de Janeiro on december 8th 1981.
His father's work led him into a nomadic lifestyle, of which he has now become addicted to. After living in Egypt, Bolivia, Argentina and Canada, Fernando came back to Rio de Janeiro to study advertising and felt himself immediately drawn towards photography and video in general. This allowed him to earn an editing internship at the Communications department where he developed an early curiosity and passion for the whole process of video and filmmaking. This internship enabled him to work as an assistant editor at a studio in Rio called Pindorama Filmes, where he later on became assistant camera and then house editor. When he graduated in mid 2005, he was working as a free-lance editor and cinematographer for documentaries, TV shows and music videos. In 2006 Fernando decided to go to New York to attend the New York Film Academy's director course. During this year, he had his first experience directing fiction and gathered a body of work that earned him a scholarship award at Fabrica, the audio-visual research center for the Benetton Group in Treviso, Italy. Nowadays, he is both a director and a creative of Fabrica' s video department in Italy under the tutoring of iranian director Babak Payami.
