Steve Siebold, who is the author of this book, is one of the greatest mental toughness coaches in the world. Secret number 75-82
Well, it is difficult to describe all secrets in one blog, but I'm going to make sure that I describe each secret briefly.
Secret 75: Champions are zealots of change
Champions have a belief, that the things that work or the belief that they have in the past, same could not work today, because the world is changing continuously. They know in order to keep up with the world they have to change rapidly as the time passes. While amature live in their past, holding on the beliefs and work ethics of past and seeing change as a treat. Champions know that past is the lesson for the mistake you made, not what kind of belief they have. That is a reason why champions are open to new ideas in a changing world.
Secret 76: The great ones operate with integrity
Average people live their life based on fear and scarcity, which is the reason why they believe that the world is out there to get them. That everyone wants to betray them, that is the reason why the integrity of average people is left behind and they can't even keep their word. While champions operate from love and abundance, which gave them the advantage over average people. They believe only one who can betray them are the one, who they allow to betray them. If a champion has said that he is going to do something, then you should have no doubt that they wouldn't do that.
Secret 77: The great ones are bold
Average people who operate from fear and scarcity, tend to have fear for everything. They have fear for doing everything, fear of what people are going to think, fear of what might goes wrong or fear of that they are inadequate. While champions, who have supreme confidence in their abilities know that they can conquer or achieve anything they want, they always enter a action with boldness or not at all. They don't bring doubts in doing anything, which is why champions can achieve anything they want. They know that success is on the other side of fear.
Secret 78: Champions are interdependent
Champions are not only independent, they are also interdependent. While interdependent means a group of people who can make other people independent. Champions know the power that is stored in a teamwork. Champions know that they might earn millions alone, while with a team of like-minded, they can achieve billions. While average people want to ride to the sunset as a hero. What average people don't understand that there is the limit to what a single man can achieve, while champions understand that, that is why they prefer teamwork.
Secret 79: The world-class know leader's primary role
Champions know that leaders primary role is to guide, develop and influence people. Champions know that leaders are like a role model, that anyone can follow, just because they want to, not because they have to. While average people think a leader as someone who is a dictator or the one with an authority. Average people see leaders as someone who orders people to do something, while champions know that leaders are someone who influences people to do something, not on his order but just because they want to.
Secret 80: A world-class attitude leads to world-class happiness
Champions know that happiness lies in what kind of attitude you have towards life. If you have an attitude that life is a painful experience then yes it would become a painful experience for you. That is the reason why champions invest a lot of time in fixing their attitude towards life. While average people live in an illusion that happiness is the by-product of many possession, and even when they get that possession they are still not happy. While champions are happy even when they have nothing, that is the reason why nothing can break a champion.
Secret 81: Champions seek balance
Champions know that with work stress and overworking, they need time to relax and have some pleasures of life. Not just relaxing too much, champions seek a balance in their work and relaxation. Champions know that if they overwork, then they have to put more time in resting and if they put a lot of time resting they would never achieve their goal. While average people don't even care about balance. They are living a life of self-deception, saying that they are working even harder than they are. Which makes them put more time in resting and they end up achieving no results in their goal.
Secret 82: Champions are professional listeners
Champions know the power of listening, that is the reason why they are called professional listeners. Champions see conversation as a way to know what is going on in the mind of the other person, while average people only hear with an intend to reply. While champions know, the only way to influence people is to get influenced by them.
All the secrets I have discussed up are one of my personal beliefs too, as soon as I have read them, I have applied them to myself. And they have given me the tremendous amount of success. As for boldness, integrity, interdependence and professional listeners are the beliefs that I practice most. If you want to apply them in your life, write it on a piece of paper and read them aloud twice a day and you'll see the difference it would make in your life.
