6 Healthy Low-Carb Breakfasts for weight loss 

What is "Low-Carb"? If you have already read my latest articles, "6 Weight Loss Friendly and Healthy Low-Carb Meals" and "7-Day Low-Carb Diet Meal Plan and Menu", then you should have an idea about Low-Carb diets. A Low-Carb diet is also called a high-fat diet (LCHF) or a keto diet. If you are using this diet for weight loss, you should eat foods with low carbohydrates, and you eat real foods such as protein, natural fats, and vegetables.

Breakfast is often described as the most important meal of the day. There are many reasons. Breakfast kick-starts your metabolism, helping you burn calories throughout the day. It also gives you the energy you need to get things done and helps you focus at work or at school.

In this article, I will share with you on how to prepare some healthy and Low-Carb breakfasts. Especially for those people who are on low-carb diets for weight loss. They are perfect for your breakfast and they make you feel stuffed for a long time. These meals are low-carb breakfasts and they are weight loss friendly:


(1) Sausage & Cheese Omelet

(2) Scrambled Eggs and various vegetables

(3) Egg Frittata

(4) Salad with Bacon and Eggs

(5) Avocado, Smoked salmon and Egg Salad

(6) Ground Beef With Onion, Garlic, Spinach, And Eggs


1. Sausage & Cheese Omelet

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tbsp of milk
  • 2 Tbsp of Olive oil
  • 1 fully-cooked sausage (chopped)
  • 2 Tbsp of shredded Cheddar cheese
  • Spices


How to prepare:

1. In a bowl, mix eggs, milk, chopped and fully-cooked sausages, and spices.

2. Heat up the Olive oil in a frying pan.

3. Add the mixed ingredients from step 1.

3. Stir-fry until the bottom side is cooked, flip it.

4. Add the shredded Cheddar cheese on the top.

5. Fold the omelet when the bottom side is cooked.

6. Serve with some berries or salad if you want.

2. Scrambled Eggs and various vegetables, fried in Olive oil.

  • 3 to 4 Eggs
  • 2 Tbsp of Olive oil
  • Some Spinach
  • Some Mixed Vegetables (carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans)
  • Salt, pepper, spices


How to prepare:

1. Heat up the Olive oil in a frying pan.

2. Add mixed vegetables. You can use fresh or frozen vegetables.

3. Add 3 to 4 Eggs.

4. Add salt and pepper. You may also add the spices you like.

5. Add spinach.

6. Mix all and stir-fry until they are ready.


Personally, I prefer Olive oil. If you want, you may also choose Coconut oil, Avocado oil or Butter instead.

3. Egg Frittata

  • 4 Eggs
  • 4 Tbsp of milk or water
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme leaves OR herb of your choice
  • Salt, pepper, spices
  • 1 cup filling: fillings from your favorite foods. Use a combination of meat, seafood, cheese, vegetables.  Broccoli, ham, and shredded Cheddar cheese are used in this recipe.
  • 2 Tbsp butter OR olive oil


How to prepare:

1. In a bowl, mix eggs, milk, precooked broccoli, sliced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, herb, salt, pepper, spices.

2. Heat up the butter or Olive oil in a frying pan.

3. Add the mixed ingredients from step 1.

4. Stir-fry until both sides are cooked. 


4. Salad with Bacon and Eggs

  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 slices of bacon
  • 1 Tbsp of olive oil or butter
  • Green salad of your choice

How to prepare:

1. Heat up the Olive oil or butterin a frying pan.

2. Put in the bacon and cook until crispy. Remove it from the pan.

3. In the same pan, fry your eggs in until over medium.

4. serve with salad. 


5. Avocado, Smoked salmon and Egg Salad

  • 2 or 3 Eggs
  • A few slices of smoked salmon
  • 1 avocado (peeled, de-stoned and sliced)
  • Handful of cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
  • Half a cucumber (roughly chopped)
  • Green salad of your choice
  • Salad dressing of your choice

How to prepare:

1. Boil the eggs until hard. Around 10 mins. Ccool them down with cold water then peel the shell.

2. In a large bowl, add the salad with the cherry tomatoes and cucumber.

3. Add the smoked salmon and avocado and mix together.

4. Add the sliced eggs.

5. Add the salad dressing.


6. Ground Beef With Onion, Garlic, Spinach, And Eggs

  • 400 grams of ground beef
  • 1  medium onion (chopped)
  • 3-4 cloves garlic (optional)
  • 3 Tbsp of olive oil
  • Some fresh spinach
  • 4 Eggs
  • Salt and pepper


How to prepare:

1. Heat up the Olive oil in a frying pan.

2. Add the chopped onion and garlic and cook for few minutes until it turns goldenish.

3. Add the ground beef and cook until brownish. Remove it from the pan.

4. In a bowl, mix the eggs,  ground beef and spinach. Add salt and pepper.

5. In the same pan, add and heat up some olive oil.

6. Pour in the mixed eggs and fry until ready, add a cover might help.




Breakfast is very important. It doesn't matter if you are on a diet or not, you shouldn't just skip breakfast, instead, you should eat it right. Ran out of ideas on what to eat? try these healthy low-carb meals!
