A Positive Sign

Posted on at

Just recently, two giant turtles and a dolphin captured by fisher folks in Glan, Sarangani Province have been freed and returned to the seas.

Reports of sea mammals being returned to their habitat are positive signs that the residents of villages along the coast of protected areas are becoming aware of their responsibility towards these endangered species. Somehow, the laws and the importance of preserving endangered marine life like the dolphins, the whales and the sea cows are clearer to them now. Thanks to the campaign being conducted by concerned agencies responsible for these creatures.

It seems government efforts on protecting endangered marine and wildlife species have gained headway. But there is still a need for massive information drive to ensure full implementation of the laws regarding the preservation of endangered species.
