A slow Autumn day

03/Nov/2015

I got out to the bird around 8:45am and things stated off quite promising with an sharp shine Howk tucked high into the bare branches of a tree.

Moments later a Cape May Warbler (little bird) appeared and was very cooperative.

I crept inti the tress and clouds of thousand of mosquitos filled in the air. A few moments later it was clear they were not biting and i settled in with a lovly bird who foraged around me for 5minutes, later i found it of a first winter female Blackburnian Warbler (life bird). She was the stuff mosquito nightmare are made of

Behind the Hedge were more bugs and more birds feasting in the shadows. this female black-thorated Green Welber (life bird) was among them. A slow day to still offers three lifers is why Montrose is great, and why being new an area is even better.
