Many people believe that we are entering the final chapter of human history and that Jesus will return soon. That's a sobering thought, for though the Bible provides a glimpse of heavenly bliss and goodness that surpasses comprehension, it also predicts earthly scenes of incredible bloodshed, horror and death.

If you have trusted Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can have confidence about the future. A day is coming perhaps soon, when the Lord will return for you. Then you will return with Christ to share His millennial rule. After the 1,000 years are over, you will live with Him in a new world forever in a life of joy and fulfillment.

But if you are not a Christian, the future is not so promising. The wrath of God will be poured out on the earth, and on you, in a time of terrible war, disease and famine. Beyond that lies the second death - a fate every bit is real for the unbeliever as heaven is for the person who trust in Christ. The countdown continues. The time of opportunity is now. Make your decision. Trust Christ today. Believing that He died to pay the penalty for your sins, ask Him to save you. Only then will your future be secure - both in this life and in the ages to come.
