Jodhpur

Jodhpur was founded by Rao Jodha  Maharaja of Mandore in 1459. Jodhpur is in Rajasthan State , India and the other name for Jodhpur is Blue City.There are number of tourist that visits Jodhpur to see the beauty of Indian History. Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest forts of India, which rises above the Jodhpur City.  It has highlights of Indian history in the form of Art and Museum. Its main Entrance is at the North East side of the Fort. The other attraction is Umed Bhavan Palace, completed in 1944. Royal family of Jodhpur still occupies a section of Palace. Umaid bhavan also has a small museum in it having old photos of Maharaja and his family. The Maharaja has a vintage collection of watches and Cars. Mandore and Mandore Gardens has and Old fort with a small museum, and temples. It is situated around 8 km away from Jodhpur. Jaswant Thada is also an attraction of Jodhpur. It was built in 1899 in the honor of Maharaja Jashwant Singh. It is empty memorial tomb made of white marbles. The View of the fort and the city from Jaswant thada is stunning. It is situated 1 Km away from Mehrangarh Fort in northeast side.
