The Jeita Grotto is an arrangement of two interconnected caves in Nahr al- Kalb valley in Lebanon. The overall lengths of the caves are about 5.6 mi. The caves are located in the area of Jeita which is nearly 11 mi. far from the Beirut, capital of Lebanon.  The caves are the national symbol of Lebanon and it is also a top tourist destination.  It is divided in four different parts as Jeita I , Jeita II, Jeita III, and Jeita IV. These all four parts of the caves are different by their geographical conditions. The first part; Jeita I is a dry cave and it is situated below Jeita II. Jeita II is a stone shelter located on a raised area above Jeita I. It is also an entrance of the third cave Jeita III.  The Jeita III was a dump of brown soil which fell from the site proposed to the end of Jeita II in the east. Tourists are carried out by a boat inside the entrance of the grotto.  Jeita IV is also a stone shelter in the rock face of the grotto. This part of the cave contained pre historic materials which were later looted.  The Jeita caves are the karst topography which were formed by the dissolution of limestone.  The caves are really beautiful and amazing.
