bitCharities is a cause platform and the Social Arm of bitLanders.com. The goal of bitCharities is to connect all non-profits organizations with their donors and supporters.

Since it’s launched at the beginning of 2015, bitCharities gathered around 4112372 donations from almost 247467 individual donors according to results on 25-12-2015. The aim of bitCharities is to educate users about their social responsibilities to help others.

As pointed out by Gautham in a recent article on NewsBTC, Bitcoin is the ideal currency for charities and non-profit organizations.

bitCoin and philanthropy are two different worlds, which are working together now. Like bitCoin, social good does not have geographical boundaries, nor should be limited by donation fees. But the main problem is that both charities and their donors are still unfamiliar with bitCoin and reticent to use it. So the Question is what isBitcoin?????

What is Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is an e-currency which has been created by a developer under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008. We can define “bitCoin” as a digital currency with no central bank or controller, bitcoin’s circulation is provided by a network of its users.

The blockchain is a backbone of bitCoin, blockchain is a publicly visible ledger which allows you to verify a bitCointransaction form those made minutes ago back to the very first one ever made.

As time went by, bitCoin gained recognition beyond a social community. People began to worry that their money would not be safe in banks, and they started converting their money in to bitCoins. As we can see that the value ofbitCoin went from just over US$100 per bitCoin to a peak of over $1200.

As per now, the rate of 1 bitCoin is 428.07 US Dollar.

Watch below some videos, it can help you to learn about Bitcoin.

As Mr. Rossetti of Save the Children mentions in the article, it's important "to remain contemporary and relevant to current and future generations.” Writer Rachel Silverman adds that some of the charities go through processing services in order to accept Bitcoin, which is the option offered by bitLanders and its Charity Page,BitCharities.com.

bitLanders launched BitCharities.com, its dedicated Charity Page open to all non-profits organizations. OnBitCharities.com, bitLanders' 500,000 users can use the Bitcoin earned on the platform to donate to charities and organizations. bitLanders gives 100% of the donations back to the charities.

"Social entrepreneurs Roya Mahboob and Francesco Rulli believe that the end goal of education, digital or otherwise, in a country like Afghanistan is economic independence for women and for the nation," and continues on explaining how bitLanders helps achieve those goals: "Bitlanders, which generates revenue through advertising, pays the women and girls in Bitcoin for blogging on the site.
