Hello again, Bitlanders! Today, I made a blog about artificial intelligence (AI) in telecommunications. Telecommunication plays an important role in our daily lives. With the use of telecommunications we are able to communicate with our loved ones and friends and make use of it in business.

What Is Telecommunications?

Telecommunication is the transmission of signs, signals, messages, words, writings, images and sounds or information of any nature by wire, radio, optical or other electromagnetic systems. Telecommunication occurs when the exchange of information between communication participants includes the use of technology.

Wikipedia

Telecommunication refers to the exchange of information by electronic and electrical means over a significant distance. A complete telecommunication arrangement is made up of two or more stations equipped with transmitter and receiver devices. Telecommunication devices include telephones, telegraph, radio, microwave communication arrangements, fiber optics, satellites, and the Internet. Telecommunication is also known as telecom.

The telecommunications industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. This industry has shifted from basic phone and Internet service to a sector that is going high tech and constantly evolving into a more mobile, wearable, and automated environment.

In telecommunications, AI is used to optimize features in networks and predict failures in telecom sites. These networks will be an integral part of any mission-critical use case relying on connectivity, be it remote control of heavy machinery, autonomous drones, or self-organizing logistics.

This progressive and growing use of AI in digital networks, digital operations, digital experience, and digital intelligence applications is already delivering very concrete and measurable benefits to customers through more efficient automation, new revenue streams by data monetization, enhanced security, and improved customer experience.

The telecommunication companies had to adopt modern technologies and techniques to stay relevant and gain much benefits and profits.

AI is not, and should not, be about replacing humans; instead, it is about augmenting the capabilities of the customer care agents, field engineers, sales representatives, and network and service operations engineers to make the most of their time and better serve customers in the digital era.
