Miss the old BlackBerry?

BlackBerry has been teasing their next smartphone, the appropriately named Classic for a few months now, and while the device hasn’t been officially launched as of yet, the company has opened up their pre-order page for it. It’s a bit odd but that’s apparently how the company rolls now, so whatever. Anyway, the BlackBerry Classic will be hitting stores in the middle of December, and bears the appearance of BlackBerry devices of yore, complete with the iconic trackpad in the middle.

BlackBerry Classic specs

  • 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 processor
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 3.46-inch capacitive toucscreen display, 720 x 720 pixels
  • 16GB of storage, expandable via microSD up to 128GB
  • 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and AF
  • 2-megapixel front camera
  • 3G, LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, NFC
  • BlackBerry 10.3 OS
  • 2515mAh battery

The Classic will be sporting BlackBerry’s latest version of its OS and will have a touchscreen display to supplement the trackpad located in the middle of the keyboard. The device is slated to retail at around $449, or around Php 20,151 and will start rolling out mid-december.
