I recently had the absolute pleasure of making this short documentary, on break dancing. I feel that this is such an important cause and really shows how a community can make a real positive impact, and all this is done through the love Hip Hop. I will be making a series of these kind of documentaries over the next few months. PLEASE give the charities page a facebook like and help support a really good cause. Here is my film below and a brief synopsis of the film.
This short documentary follows BBoy JUSTROC over a period of two months. In this film he talks about his charity Break Mission, and what break dancing means to him. The film feature dancers from all across the UK, and also footage from one of the charities in Malaysia.
The original concept of break mission was inspired by a Break Dance event held on October 9th 2010 in the Bronx (New York). Hosted by bboy ABY from The Bronx Boys Rocking Crew (TBB). Break Mission's vision is to provide free entry to all participants and spectators attending the event. The only catch is that people must bring non perishable goods (canned foods / clothing) as their entry. The goods will then be given to a local charity organisation, currently Wood Street Mission in Manchester city centre.
