Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud

Ahmad Shah Massoud, the son of Colonel Dost Mohammad Khan, who was born on September 2, 1953 in the village Jnglk Panjsher province.Massoud's father Colonel Dost Mohammad was a military officer in the country at Zahir Shah's reign. His grandfather Yahya Khan was one of the great people of Panjshir. His father worked in his work years as a military officer or a military officer in Nangarhar, Badakhshan, Baghlan, Ghazni, Herat and Kabul.

 

Massoud passed first five years of his life in panjshir. He started going to school when he was five years old. He moved to Kabul before he finished the first class and entered to Shah-e-Doshamshera high school. After that he father went to Herat as a police commander so he passed his second and third class in Herat province. Also he studied the religious science with Herat big mosque teachers. At the end of forth class he came back to Kabul with his father.

 

He graduated from Astiqlal high school of Kabul in 1352 and got preparation for college examination. After passing  examination he could join to Engineering faculty of Kabul Pool-e-Takhnik university.  When he was young he was so interested to military college. When one of his young friends would show him the beautiful mansion Pool-e-Takhnik  then he decided to inter to this college for continuing his education.

 

After finishing university he started to work as a leader in his own province against the Russian and Taliban. After three years fight against Russian in 1361 he could defeat them in Panjshir. After Failure of Russian, the commander of Russian in that time decided to have a meeting with Ahmadshah Massoud for Negotiate whit him to stop the fight. Fortunately these agreement was continued for two years. Massoud could get the  maximum use of the opportunity.

And to organize resistance against the occupation forces out of Panjshir Valley.
Despite the constant attacks by the Red Army and the Afghan army, Massoud was able to expand its military capabilities. His forces was about 5000 person in 1984.

 

Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud, after years of resistance against the Soviet occupation of the country by the army and fight against the Taliban, On 9 September 2001, in a suicide blast, two Arab men who had introduced himself as a journalist, was killed.The death of the Mujahedeen commander in the war against the Taliban could lead to decreased morale, with a few days delay was announced.
