Communication Band's

Posted on at

Communication Bands are very important in today’s life. Communication is very important and we use communication in different fields. There is division in different type of bands due to the requirements and usage.
Band are divided in VLF, LF, MF, HF, VHF, UHF, SHF and EHF etc.

Different Type are the users in this world like Home users, Business users, Schools, Colleges, Internet Service Providers, Defince Communication, Civil Airlines, TV Station's, Navigation (GPS), Local internet providers, Radio Station's, Mobile users, PTCL Companies etc. which are as follow:

We can also determine the Electronic Spectrum by following Diagram;

Different Bands of Frequencies are ;

1. Myriametric (B.Mam) :

                Myriametric band rang is form 3 KHz to 30 KHz and the communication rang is in between 10 Km to 100 Km, it is used by the Submarines.

2. Kilometric (B.km) Band:

                Kilometric band rang is form 30 KHz to 300 KHz and the communication rang is in between 1 Km to 10 Km, it is used Broadcast Radio.

3. Hectometric (B.hm) Band:

                Hectometric band rang is form 300 KHz to 3MHz and the communication rang is in between 100 meter  to 1000 meter, it is used Broadcast Radio.

4. Decametric (B.dam):

Decametric band rang is form 3MHz to 30MHz and the communication rang is in between 10 meter  to 100 meter, it is used Broadcast Radio. It is also called HF Band.

5. Metric (B.m):

Metric band rang is form 30MHz to 300MHz and the communication rang is in between 1 meter  to 10 meter, it is used FM Radio. this band is used for 88 MHz to 108 MHz for the FM Radio station and the other band is used for the military communication It is also called VHF Band.

6. Decimetric (B.dm)

Decimetric band rang is form 300MHz to 3GHz and the communication rang is in between 100 mm  to 1000 mm, it is used for GPS and Radio links. It is also called UHF Band.

7. Centimetric (B.cm) :

Centimetric band rang is form 3GHz to 30GHz and the communication rang is in between 10 mm  to 100 mm, it is used Satellites Broadcast . It is also called SHF Band.

8. Millimetric (B.mm):

Millimetric band rang is form 30GHz to 300GHz and the communication rang is in between 1 mm  to 10 mm,, it is used Radio links. It is also called EHF Band.
