Sarah was brought up in a small village. She, along with her two friends decide to have a love marriage. However she is not so successful. Her father arranges her marriage to John against her wishes. Both look unhappy during the wedding due to obvious reasons.

Six years later they have a 5-year-old daughter her name is jeni. They live as a happily married couple. Both they love each other. Sarah thinks that she is very lucky to have john as a husband and she loves john a lot. John works as the chief mechanic at an automobile company and goes to New York for some project. During this time, Sarah found John's old college diary. John wanted to be an Engineer from a young age. John forced his father's brother to pay for a seat  for mechanical Engineering.  In college, he was attracted to angel .she was studying in same college. John and Angel fall in love. One day  they decided to get married. At the registrar's office, angel's father and his men beat him up, separating the lovers and sending angel off to some other country. At the end of the diary, John writes a note: "if I have one wish, it would be to live with Angel happily at least for one day.”

 

John returns from New York and finds his wife changed. She works more time in office and avoids him. She finds John's lost love angel. Angel has become a contrast to the girl she was in college. Sarah asks Angel to visit them.one day angel came to john’s house. Sarah tells her husband that he should live happily with Angel for a day and that for that one day, she and their daughter leaves from the house.

That day sarah imagines them to have a good time and eventually fall in love with each other all over again. When she gets back home with fearing, she finds her husband alone at home. She asks about his day with Angel, and he gives her a letter written to Sarah from Angel. In it, Angel says that within five minutes of speaking to him, John mentioned 'Sarah' so many times that she realised that he loved his wife very much and is leading a very happy life. She wishes the couple a happy life and leaves, never to return.
