Day 3/4 - Little Lady

(17/03/14 - 18/03/14) On this third year shoot I was working with Nicola Pedley as her DOP. The shoot was a lot of fun and was such a great opportunity for me to show the third years my keen eye for cinematography. I was in charge of the whole look of her film and it was a lot of responsibility to take on, and something I was quite worried about leading up to the shoot. However when on set, what I'd been picturing for the visuals came to life and I think and I hope that I helped create a really gorgeous looking film. Usually for me I am on camera and so it's easier to get what I want from the visuals, it was different being stood over someone with a camera, directing them to get the shots I envisioned. I felt right at home on this shoot and full of confidence, I learned a lot from this experience of crewing and it's helped me a lot with directing and being outspoken and not being afraid to say it's not good enough. Really, really fantastic director and crew and cast. A great learning experience.

On the 17th we worked from 3pm to 7pm and on the 18th we worked from 9am to 6pm. Giving me a total of 13hours. So far i've managed to get 40hours of crewing, giving me 40hours to still do.
