*NEW FEATURED FILM

Il Divano by Salvatore Vitiello

Il Divano is a humorous and reflective story on struggle and the big decisions we have to make in our lives. After a big argument, Antonio’s fiancé breaks up with him on the last day of their move to a new house. Left all by himself, Antonio realizes that he still needs to move a sofa-bed from their isolated house in the countryside. On his way to the new house, a number of unlucky incidents, including encounters with strange people and a final conversation with his fiancé convince Antonio that it is better to simply get rid of this sofa-bed once and for all. This film was suggested to Film Annex by the National Film School of Florence.

TWO New Movie Reviews:

INGLORIOUS BASTARDS - “In Inglourious Basterds, Tarantino returns with a vengeance, literally! The director calls his World War II payback fantasy his Jewish revenge movie. Indeed, from Kill Bill to kill Hitler (played in the movie by Martin Wuttke), Tarantino is great at showing the roaring rampage of revenge.” A cinema lover’s dream? Find out for yourself! Watch this review here.

TAKING WOODSTOCK - “If I could have the opportunity to go back in time and visit the 1960s, I will first choose 1969. Two big life-changing events happened that year. First, the Stonewall Riots in June which marked the beginning of the Gay Liberation movement; and second, the Woodstock Music & Art Fair in August that changed the face of popular culture forever,” says Manny as he introduces the new hippie flick Taking Woodstock. A perfect snapshot of a by-gone era? Perhaps! Find out right here.
