Film Idea

I like the idea of showing the effects of GREED, and what better way to do it than by showing someone who has lost everything.

Grant is 42 and currently lives on the streets, He is wearing baggy clothes and is unshaven. He has a trolly that he uses to push his belongings around with him. Most of it is stuff he has picked up off the floor and collected. I want the audience to feel sorry for this guy as its not a nice place to live.

Grant walks with a limp because of lying down on a hard floor, As he begins to walk he talks to the camera(or voice over) picking things up that he finds on the floor which makes him talk about something else, He tells us what it is like to live on the streets, how he gets beaten, abused and how he is not socially accepted, he then finds a small toy car that has been dropped. He picks it up and begins to admire this little red car.

You then begin to realise that Grant was once rich and full of greed and was big headed. It will end on the words " I was like an apple falling from a tree, Hitting every Branch Down" I want to leave the ending open for the audience to think what may have happened to Grant to make him homeless.

Shooting this Film

I have had many ideas how to shoot this, I like the idea of a one shot following Grant down the road, But i feel this may get a little boring and it could be a lot nicer visually if i was to do several shots.

This is only a draft and things may change or the idea completely, but what are your thoughts?
