Nexus Player

A streamer and an Android gaming system!

Aside from all the mobile gadgets that they’ve unveiled today, Google also announced their newest streaming box/Android gaming hub dubbed the Nexus Player. Built by their partner ASUS and costing just $99 (Php 4441), the Nexus Player promises to deliver video streaming, as well as Android gaming with an additional $39 (Php 1749) controller, It holds the distinction as being the first ever device to run Android TV, and allows you to use it with Google Cast, throwing your favorite entertainment apps from your Android or iOS device. The feature also works on your Mac, Windows and even Chromebook.

As far as hardware, you’re looking at an Intel Atom processor running at 1.8GHz paired with a Imagination PowerVR Series 6 Graphics 2D/3D Engine, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage (which we assume can be expanded via microSD), as well as WiFi and Bluetooth.
