How viewers can help filmmakers with their film projects

Posted on at

Hello filmmakers!

Here are some ideas on how to get your viewers involved with your Web TVs and productions:

Help with the production

*Viewers might be interested in becoming a crew member

*Help you with food and transportation if you're shooting in their area

*Suggest to you friends and acquaintances who have professional production/post-production experience.

Help with the promotion

*Viewers can help you spread the word about your film via word of mouth, social networks, their blogs, etc. Give them some good material they can talk or write about, something that will interest and excite them.

*Have access to venues you don't have access to. They might own screening spaces, bars, restaurants, rooftops, a venue that you might want to screen your film at, where you can get to know a new community.

*Host your content. If they have highly-trafficked websites, you might consider embedding your Web TV player on their site, and both of you can benefit from revenue sharing opportunities.

*Vote for your films on War of Films and help you win the monthly $1000 prize. In the meantime, they'll be competing to win our daily voter prize of $100.

Help with investing

*Viewers can help you find investors or might be interested in investing in your project themselves.

Like we always say, the keyword is INTERACT. Use your Web TVs not just to showcase your films, but also to interact with your viewers. Get the conversation started by making a comment, raising a questions, or messaging them.
