"I was very young when I lost my parents. Responsibility of my education then fell on the shoulders of my elder brothers and I won't say they did not try. They did their best but our financial conditions were very bad so I had to quit studying and start working at different houses. I don't have any specific skill and have been working from one house and then another as a servant. I have done this my entire life. My family is in Azad Kashmir and I work here in Islamabad to support them. I still think of my parents all the time and dream of a life which I would have had if they were alive. They would have done anything to keep me in the school and by now I would have been in an office working at least as a nominal clerk. I would have been able to order someone to make tea for me, just like everyone asks me to make it for them. But I know that it is nothing more than a dream. Who will employ an uneducated man? No one!
Education is very important - this is the reality of today's world. As long as I am alive, I will be an amazing parent and keep my children in school, whatever the conditions, especially my baby girl. There is a misconception that a girl's education is useless - it needs to be changed! It is just as important as a boy's education. We should change our mindset. I will give both my children the same chance at educating themselves and one day, my son will be the man I dreamt of becoming and my daughter will make me proud. That day, I will achieve my dreams. That day, I will know I have served my responsibility as a father."
