I don't want to be a reviler

Posted on at

In most dictionaries, the definition of a reviler is a person who uses scornful or abusive language towards an entity. In the bible, it mentions this word more than once. "Be not deceived: neither adulterers, nor effeminate persons, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor fornicators, nor revilers, nor drunkards,..."
When I started writing, I promised myself not to be a reviler. My heart weighs heavy because last year, i wrote a review in Tripadvisor about a hotel I stayed in. I stayed there for three days due to a job that was out of town. Bad experience.

Nothing in my review had a positive statement about the place. Everything from bed bugs to poor sanitary conditions was the topic and included pictures of the 100's of bed bug bites i had to endure. It was a horror, but, I feel I set myself up as a reviler instead of a writer. My review received thousands of hits and I became #1 in reviewing hotels for this state, even though I only wrote that review.
My question is, should I remove the review?
