Not everything, but a foundation you cannot live happily without. If you have money, it doesn't mean you are happy because you could have made some very painful life decisions. However, if you don't have money, you almost always are miserable, spending all of your time searching for money.
I think money is not everything in life. But still,money has a very important role to play. It is not just money that makes everything work but it is also the determination of people to accomplish the task.Many big demonstrations that have happened in the world did not solely take place through money.

And also this one: "No social system will bring us happiness, health and prosperity unless it is inspired by something greater than materialism.".
But still,on the other hand,money has a very important role to play in our lives.We all here many quotes and philosophies stating that money cannot buy happiness..But we have to make sure that we earn enough to meet at least our cardinal needs. We cannot simply sit jobless and make quotes on the subject of money. Money does not buy everything but whatever we buy requires money.
Money as such does not bring happiness. But money can remove our anxities about material things like food on the table, clothes, children's education etc. etc. As such it can be an aid to happiness. But if you make money your God, you will never be happy. People who think money is everything are the people who never spend anything and inspite of all the money they may be having, they are never happy.
In the end I would say that money isn't everything but it is a very important part of one's life.

The value people give to money is highly subjective. Objectively speaking, money is for survival. Now, more money means comfortable survival. It depends upon you how you want to live your life. Will money play a central role in your life? Only you know the answer. You want those posh cars? You know. What will do you with them? Well they will give me happiness and status. Cut the crap. There is no link between happiness and money. You know how super rich people fall into depression sometimes. You want status in the society. OK. But again, its for your ego. Money is helping you in that. But real purpose of money was to feed you. Now you are using it to inflate your ego. You choice. But don't say" Money is bad" blah..blah. You must have chosen this statement to escape from your deep desire of money. But desire remains. So don't be hypocritical with yourself. If you have REALLY ( I mean it) seen the futility of running after money even after your most needs are met then I think you won't have to give any statement like "money is bad " and all. But if you have desire for it go for it.
Following thoughts of people.
Money is certainly not everything. Actually nothing can be everything, except you. You make up the 'everything' that you want to be, see or feel.
Having said that, money can certainly facilitate almost everything.
Food, shelter and clothing - Triple Check.
Parents - Half Check. (Not your own, you can always help elders or sponsor some of the elderly, take care of people who have been ditched...endless)
Siblings - Half Check. (Again, not your own. Buy that hungry kid a meal and you will know what am talking about)
Kids - Check. (If you can afford and care for the child, you can adopt one. You can get your self treated and have children if you are infertile)
Beauty - Double Check. (Make up, surgeries anyone?)
Respect - Double check. (Bad politicians? Stupid celebrities? - Don't tell me they don't get respect, even if it's fake)
Trust - Check. (Then why do rich people get loans faster?)
Intelligence - Check. (You have the resources, if you can't use them then who is to blame?)
Time - Check. (Why need the extra hour when one can use the available 24 to use the money one has for the betterment of self/others)
Talent - Super duper check. (The best of tutors in what you like. The best exposure. Condition: One pursues what one likes and is capable of, unlike others)
Health - The biggest check. (You can't blame money for not having good health. The best of doctors, trainers, food, recreational activities... wow!)
So, the answer is money is definitely not everything. But can very well facilitate almost everything.

Its a no brainer. Money is everything in life. What I have experienced in life is that people don't want love, nobody values your love if you don't have money to back it up.
Money solves 99.99999% problems in life. If you have loads of money, your wife will not have to work, you will have a big house with all facilities, you will have servants for every job. Your kids will have all things in life. If you can't make kids, make them in test tube or in someone else's womb. Your parents will have what all they want. Your wife will not feel ashamed in front of her parents and siblings because you have hell lot of money.
You will die in a 5 star super specialty hospital if you have deadly diseases. In short at least everyone will pretend to love and respect you. Which is better than so called true love, when people are dragging with the burden of life. And when they burst out they make a big hole in your heart every time. So, from where I am standing, I simply feel that MONEY answers all your questions of life.
