Hard and cold concrete serve as his bed for the night and the bright blue sky as his roof and a busy traffic served as his alarm clock but as he opened his eyes and strecthed his legs only to see his toes peek at his worn out sneakers pepe as most people on the street would call him had no worries had no insecurity well I dont blame him after all his alone in life and  is only companion is  his most valued friend whom he loves so much bogart his dog.

I been walking past him almost everyday sometimes giving food or little change as he would ask for most of the time I would catch him staring at the empty side of the street and later just smiling and as I pass by he would great me with  a big and hearty hello sir good morning to you! how are you this fine day I hope everything is fine and I hope your day would just be as beautyfull as mine and I cant help to think why would pepe whos practiclly got nothing and almost no one to care for him is so happy about? not to mention age is a bit gaining on him so night and day same time same place on the busy street I walk pass him to my work he would never fail to great me until I one day as I was going my usaul day I simply noticed pepe was not at his regular place I could not see him at the empty side of street neighther I though he finally decided to move to a shelter or decided to move on the other end of the street and at the end of my shift I was finally done I went pass the street again and I suddenly smiled out of nothing at all I just suddenly remembered pepe as if I was sure he was there to great me again and it hit me despite his short comings in life I never so him in anyday that he was not smiling and I said to my self he really did make my day in somewhat rather beautyfull after all for he made sure to put a smile on my face as i walk towards home towards my wife my kids and no matter how ugly things got in my work he made sure to have a smile waitng for me just a smile to remind me how life can be so beautyfull.
