A Mosque or Masjid is a place of prayer and worship for the Muslims. All over the world the call for prayer (Azan) is relayed five times a day from the mosques to remind the Muslims of their duty of Allah and His Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (peace be upon him) A Masjid occupies a special place in Islamic way of life. It serves not only as a place of worship but also as a place of learning and a community center. In the past the Muslim rulers created magnificent mosque to reflect the glory and grandeur of lslam. Their model was always the Masjid-e-Nabvi founded and build by the Holy Prophet ( peace be upon him) the mosque buildings all over the world especially in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and India follow the tradition set by the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). These mosques reflect the finest work of great Muslim architects, artists, engravers and calligraphers.
