Muhammad bin Qasim was born on 31^st December 695 in Taif of Arabia.His full name was Imad ad-Din Muhammad ibn Qasim ath-Thqafi.He belongs to the Thaqeef tribe of Ta’if.His father name was Qasim bin Yousuf who died when Muhammad bin Qasim was a child.His mother brought him up.His uncle Al Hajjaj ibn Yousuf was the governor of Umayyad,teached Muhammad bin Qasim about the warfare.Muhammad bin Qasim married Zubaidah,the daughter of Al Hajjaj ibn Yousuf.

     Muhammad bin Qasim was soon  made the governor of Persia by Al Hajjaj.He was so successful there.Raja Dahir  on that time attacked the ships of Muslims and imprison  men and women.Umayyad got interested in Sindh.Sindh was inhabitated by  many  semi-nomadic tribes.Muhammd Bin Qasim  attacked Sidh but failed to get control.He attemted again and failed again.Atlast,in the third attempt Muhammad bin Qasin conquered Sindh.

    The army of 6000 soldiers departed from Shiraz in 710 CE under the command of Muhammad Bin Qasim.On the way,he was joined by  more than six thousand camel riders.Debal was the first town conquered by the Umayyad army.The army destroyed the great temple of Debal.After Debul,the Nerun and Sadusan was conquered peacefully by Muhammad bin Qasim.On the other side of Indus Raja Dahir’s army was ready to meet Muhammad bin Qasim.Muhammad bin Qasim moved back to Sadusan and was joined by the army of Thakore and western Jats.

   Muhammad Bin Qasim and Raja Dahir’s army meet at Rohri for the battle.Raja Dahir was killed and his army was defeated in the battle.Muhammad Bin Qasim take control of Sindh.The Soldier’s of Dahir’s army was killed but the merchants,farmers,princess and Chiefs of Dahir was sent to Hajjaj.Soon after the other provinces Alor and Multan was captured.The people of Sindh was very happy with the new emperor because the Hindu caste system was ended,all the people was treated equally.

   Muhammad Bin Qasim’s period was the most successful for the religion of Islam in Sindh.Islam flourished  in this region during this period.Muhammad Bin Qasim was getting ready fo the next expansions.The Umayyad Caliph died and Sulyman ibn abd Malik became new caliph.The new caliph killed all the person close to Hajjaj.Muhammad Bin Qasim was recalled during the compaign.He was arrested and was kept in Mosul where he was tortured and was died there.Amr Bin Muhammad,the son of Muhammad Bin Qasim later became the governor of Sindh.
