New Recipe for Mackerel Scad

Do you fed up with just fried fish?
Do you fed up having fish stew?
Do you feed up for always eating stapled fish?
Well, I do!
So I tried something new.
I bought one half kilo of galunggong (mackerel scad), commonly known as gi-gi here in Batangas or maybe in whole country.
I know that kids are really fed up for the usual cook of fishes. Then I decided to cook different, to make new for their taste.
Here is how I did it.
First, I washed the fish. Put them on a clean plate.
Cut them on the back from tail to head. Like the photo.
I removed the gills and intestine.
I washed them again. Set aside.
Then, I marinate in chopped onions, minced garlic, black pepper, calamnsi or lemon, seasoning granules and some salt. I also add some vinegar so it will be soaked all in.
I set them aside for an hour so the fish will absorb the ingredients, and then fry.
You can have the soy sauce and onions dip. Yummy fish!
