As a continuation of yesterday’s post on designer sketches, inspiration images and mood boards coupled with quotes and descriptions for their fall 2015 fashion collections, here’s a second part to the story with contributions from the head designers of J.Crew(Tom Mora of women’s and Frank Muytjens of men’s), First Lady Michelle Obama-favorite Bibhu Mohapatra, and Giovanna Randall, the designer of the label Honor.

“We were inspired by Peter Schlesinger’s BookCheckered Past and the circle of friends that he photographed over the course of the 1960′s and 70′s,” described Tom Mora of his women’s collection for J.Crew.

Over on the men’s side from the American label, the head designer for menswear Frank Muytjens has one keyword for fall 2015: “Texture.”

Knowing these two starting points and imagery, it will be interesting to see how the two designers will evolve the look and DNA of the J.Crew.
