Isamu Akasaki and Hiroshi Amano from Japan and Shuji Nakamura, U.S. scientist have reportedly been announced as the winners of the Nobel Prize in physics. This is for creating a blue light-emitting diodes, a completely innovative, energy efficient and also an environment-friendly source of light.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has commended that although the invention is only 20 years old, it has already done much for creating white light in new way for the benefit of everyone in the world.
