One Day

Posted on at

If one day, a man looking like Jesus
Will just appear in your kitchen
With blue eyes and a thick beard
Or just a man that can see through your shyness
Or through your most outrageous acts
You know you will abandon yourself
You will kiss his forehead
And tremble a bit when his hands will first look for you.
You will abandon yourself
To your own lust
You will close your eyes and say
Look Jesus, I will teach you about faith
And eyes closed, you will give him all the love that others did not want
Cause my religion is passion
And my expectations are sky high
I have been waiting for you to save me
Since the first day I saw you
My grandma took me to meet you
In a countryside church
I remember your long hair and your thick beard
And your heavenly voice
In that little countryside church
Where you were performing an immemorial ritual
Just like the ritual we are performing now
Cause with my eyes closed, I remembered I know how to dance
The same dance our parents did
We are all looking for balance
And I was looking for you all these
years
Cause look Jesus, you are immemorial
My animus
And now that I met you
Since you just appeared here in my kitchen
I should tell you there is no need to save me
Just kiss me
Cause I know that by the time I wake up, you will be gone.
And I will be gone also
Cause life is a journey
On the outside roads and on the inner paths
We travel by air, we navigate on rivers, we jump on night trains
We get stuck in train stations
And eventually we let go
All the pains heal
Even those electric ones that hindered us from walking
That kept us together until I abandoned myself.
We walk through time
In our hearts and on the outside
One cannot stop this flow
There is nothing that keeps me here anymore
Life will bring me other and other Jesuses
Cause my religion is passion
An insatiable faith.
