Orangutans at Bukit Lawang

Have you ever seen a real live orangutan in the wild? If not, then you can’t let this opportunity to see them in their natural habitat slip through your fingers! Indonesia’s Orangutan National Park was set up in 1973 to house orangutans that had been rescued from captivity. At the park they heal captive orangutans and then try to release them back in the wild. There’s also a famous spot within the park where you can participate in feeding them – which is guaranteed to melt the heart of any animal lover out there!
