Personal Writing Process–—

Posted on at

After I figured out what I wanted and mastered the necessary personal traits needed to publish a book, I had to figure out a process that worked best for me.

I found I have to listen to music as I type. If you read many of my paragraphs individually, especially within my fiction books, they contain a musical beat. I like to think people listen to music as they read my books. The music I listen to as I type varies depending on what I’m writing. I listen to a slow even mix of music and vocals while I write nonfiction. I listen to fast music while I write children books. I listen to rock and rap while I write adult books. I listen to female artists, Prince, and Lenny Kravitz while I write erotic books.

Your process for success will vary from my process. It took me years to figure out my process. Don’t feel bad if you have to keep trying to mold what works best.

I never care if I make a mistake once. That’s my rule for writing and in life. Mistakes are how you learn. If you make a mistake more than once, you are not learning.

The following is my process for creating a book. Remember, you must decide the best process for you.
