Putin-New Boss: (Old) Photo & Song Lyrics Tells the Story, by Ambassador mo!

Posted on at

"Meet the New Boss-Same as the Old Boss" is becoming increasingly the theme in politics and no where more so than apparently Russia (and) many of the "new democracies" of the old Soviet Union. Vladimir Putin is now set to resume his old office as Russian Federation President. Of course there will be an election to legitimize the whole thing. Change may be in the air in the Arab World, but personality cult holds on there and in many presumed new democracies. In the western democracies, the persons do change more often but not necessarily the personality of the politics. "Won't Get Fooled Again"! Since "The Who" (Bottom PHOTO) sang out those words in the protest psychology of the 1960's (actually came out in album in 1971), the title - "Won't Get Fooled Again" - comes across rather prophetic 40 years later on the dawn of the Millennium Me Generation and on the sunset of the "Protest" generation that somewhere evaporated into the new materialism. I'll move myself and my family aside If we happen to be left half alive I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky For I know that the hypnotized never lie Do ya? Yeah! There's nothing in the streets Looks any different to me And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye And the parting on the left Is now parting on the right And the beards have all grown longer overnight I'll tip my hat to the new constitution Take a bow for the new revolution Smile and grin at the change all around Pick up my guitar and play Just like yesterday Then I'll get on my knees and pray We don't get fooled again Don't get fooled again No, no! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Meet the new boss Same as the old boss
