Their love story has been depicted in various kinds of literature. You can see the movie which touches the heart of the people with its tragic ending. Here some interesting facts about Romeo and Juliet for you

The Writer: William Shakespeare was the writer of Romeo and Juliet. It was a tragedy since the main characters Romeo and Juliet died at the end of the story. Their death finally united the feuding families who disagreed with their love relationship.

The most popular play : There were many kinds of plays that Shakespeare wrote during his life time. Romeo and Juliet is considered as the most famous and popular play.

The Plot And Tradition : The plot of Romeo and Juliet is based on the Italian tale. This tragic romance was dated back at the age of antiquity. Shakespeare got the inspiration to write Romeo and Juliet from Palace of Pleasure by William Painter in 1567 and the Tragically Hisroty of Romeo and Juliet by Arthur Brooke in 1562.

The writing of Romeo and Juliet: Romeo and Juliet was estimated to be written around 1591 and 1595. In 1597, the quarto version of Romeo and Juliet was published for the first time even though it was in poor text quality.

Adaptation : Due to the popularity of Romeo and Juliet, this play has been adapted various times in opera, musical, movies and stage performance. William Davenant revised the story during the English Restoration. People do anything to make this play interesting. The happy ending version can be seen in Georg Benda's opera.

The house of Verona: The characters in the house of Verona include Mecutio, Count Paris and Prince Escalus.

The house of Capulet: In the House of Capulet, there are several important characters such as Capulet, Lady Capulet, Juliet and Tybalt.

The house of Montague: Montague, Lady Montague, Romeo and Benvolio are included as the main characters in the House of Monatgue. Other important characters are Friar Laurence, Friar John and an Apothecary.
