It has drastic effects on a persons economy , It is quite time consuming ( well in some cases ) and not to mention the catastrophic effects on someones well being physically . mentally and spiritually . Modern day media platforms and a huge majority of the entertainment media industry we have today is like a drug for the consumers . The social media and entertainment industry are the most successful businesses in the world . Social media nowadays are all about being social ( well it seems to be and thats what they say ) but thats not true were hooked to them on and off throughout the day which is making us anti-social we would rather chat on our mobile phones then talk to somebody . An average teen checks up 10 times on his profile throughout the day according to a poll . You can imagine how time consuming that is and it is making us extremely unproductive . Another problem arising from the social media is that people are more worried about likes and followers than they are worried about there grades . They compare themselves to actors , musicians and it ends up people losing there self esteem which results in problems like sleep deprivation , depression and anxiety etc . Now lets come to the 21st century entertainment industry which is primarily based on sexual content which 10 years from now would be considered explicit is now been published openly . For example Game of Thrones is one of the most popular shows of our time and it is one of the most vulgar shows ever created . Music of our time is all about drugs , sex and partying . Musicians behind the beat are using most vile verses possible . Musicians like Lil wayne , Drake ,Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber are examples for us . This industry is absolutely murdering our youth`s creativity ,diversity our ideas . Both of the aspects social media and entertainment industry is really addictive and is taking-off billions off dollars from its consumers .
