1.      Photovoltaic array converts solar energy to direct current electricity.

2.      Breaker box provides and interconnection to the consumer or grid.

3.      Inverter converts DC current into Ac current.

Photovoltaic cells are also called solar cells or solar panel cells. The energy which is produced by solar panels is called DC current. This current requires converting DC current into Ac current for use in homes or offices.
