The Lost Empire: Ptolemaic Empire

 

Ptolemaic Empire was a empire of Egypt in Hellenistic Era. Ptolemy I Soter established it in 305 BCE after the death of Alexander the Great.  Ptolemy declared himself as the Pharoh (King) of the Egypt and created a powerful Hellentic Empire. The empire expanded from Cyrene to south Siriya and in the south until Nubia. Alexandria was the capital and the trade center of the empire. During the rule of Ptolemy Empire in Egypt built numerous Greek decisions. There were three major cities throughout the empire-Naucratis, Ptolemais and Alexandria.

 

The Ptolemaic kingdom was differing in the individuals who settled and made Egypt their home on this time. Local Egyptians kept having a part, yet a little one in the Ptolemaic government generally in lower posts and dwarfed the nonnatives. In the midst of the rule of the Ptolemaic Pharaohs, numerous Jews were foreign from neighboring Judea by the thousands for being eminent warriors and created an imperative vicinity there. Other remote gatherings settled amid this time and even Galatian soldiers of fortune were welcomed. Of the outsiders who had come to settle in Egypt, the decision race,greeks, were the most critical component. The empire came to an end after the death of Cleopatra the VII around 30 BCE.
